Honoring Their Trust

August 21, 2008

Mr. Jay Lasky
Helly Hansen
154 Thames Street
Newport, RI 02840

Dear Jay,

Thank you for your kindness and generosity in giving the Potter League the opportunity to participate in your annual Helly Hansen Warehouse Sale to benefit Honoring Their Trust, our capital campaign. The event was a huge success for us! The two jackets you donated for our raffle brought in over $5,0001 With the receipts at checkout and the raffle, the Potter League grossed almost $6,400. Next year, at our February “Have A Heart” event, one of the highlights of the auction will be the “Deadliest Catch” autographed clothing you also very generously donated.

On behalf of the staff and the board of directors, the Potter League for Animals is delighted to present you with a commemorative outdoor 6″ x 9″ concrete paver in appreciation for including us in your event. Please fill out the enclosed form with your inscription and return it to me. These beautiful pavers will be located in the outdoor walkway of our new building adjacent to our patio.

We truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and your desire to help us achieve our dream of a new animal care and education center. Support like yours will allow us to set a new standard for home-like housing for shelter animals and provide innovative spaces for humane programming to our community. Our new facility is going to have an amazing effect on our community from the flattering way our animals will be showcased in their new digs to the wonderful wellness center where we spay or neuter animals on site. Our new green building will serve as an example to visitors and other non-profit agencies on how to help the environment.

As importantly, your support demonstrates to other local businesses and organizations how vital it is to support organizations that reach out into the community. It is the support of people like you who make our world a better place for our four legged friends. Thanks for your part in making our dream a reality.
With deepest thanks and gratitude,

Patricia Heller
