HELLY TECH - Watertight Technology®
Is the waterproof, breathable performance standard for our protection layer. Unlike other brands, we require our products to meet waterproof and breathability measurements after five washes, to ensure our products perform over time. Helly Tech comes in different versions for different performance needs:

HELLY TECH XP
Designed for hard riding in cold and wet weather, Helly Tech XP offers twice the water resistance and is 25% more breathable than standard Helly Tech.

HELLY TECH
Helly Tech is durable waterproof protection for everyday use and most riding conditions. The breathable coatings are custom formulated to maximize vapor transfer.

IMPERTECH™
A stretchable polyurethane coated polyester. The waterproof outer coating is impervious to rain. Resists abrasion and is virtually noiseless. This lightweight yet tough material disperses perspiration moisture and eliminates the need for a separate lining fabric.

INTERFACE ^bW
These fabrics are constructed with the barrier technology directly on the outside of fabric so that it is the first thing to contact the elements. This "technology on the outside, comfort on the inside" approach enables Helly Hansen to design waterproof / breathable apparel that is lighter weight, less restrictive and softer next to skin than most traditional breathable outerwear constructions.

INTERFACE B^w
Interface Bw offers adequate wind and spray protection for all but the most severe weather conditions, but significantly higher levels of breathability than is possible with traditional waterproof/breathable fabrics. All Interface B^w fabrics feature a dense double weave construction that offers excellent weather protection without the need for any additional coatings, adhesive bonding materials or film laminates.

Schoeller® Skifans is a stretch woven fabric combining Cordura® nylon, stretch Lycra® and natural wool. This durable double woven soft shell fabric offers an exceptional balance between weather protection and active comfort.

DuPont Hytrel® is a breathable stretch laminate offering wind and waterproof protection.

The Hytrel® laminate film is bonded between a stretch woven nylon exterior and a soft low pile micro fleece interior. The result is an incredibly versatile stretch soft shell fabric offering excellent abrasion resistance, cold weather protection and active comfort.

LIFA®
LIFA is a polypropylene base layer made of hydrophobic fibers which transfers moisture away from itself. Tests have proven it to be 40 times more efficient than other synthetic and natural fibers at transporting moisture away from the skin.

MICROWELD™
Sewn seam system with a specially developed monofilament thread designed to fuse into the garment. The seams are then "welded" using radio waves to create a molecular bond that is actually stronger than the original fabric.

PROFLEECE – Versatile Warmth
PROFLEECE is a mid-loft fleece offering a balance of thermal protection and air permeability for colder weather conditions. The resilient filament fiber yarns and double-sided fleece construction will not pack down or pill even after repeated washing or years of wear.

PROSTRETCH – Active Warmth
PROSTRETCH is a low pile stretch microfleece offering a low bulk thermal layering construction for more active sport uses. Available in both a soft double-sided, and hard faced single-sided construction. PROSTRETCH offers exceptional mobility and easy layering in cool to cold weather conditions.

PrimaLoft® is a high loft ‘synthetic down’ insulation featuring a baked-on silicon waterproofing that retains superior thermal properties even when wet.
